Howe House (above), built of cypress wood, is over 80
years-old.
Howe House is the home of Lake Region Audubon Society
and
Many trees were lost in the three hurricanes in the summer of 2004. The trails have been restored
and there are trail guides to our hiking trails.

to the public Monday - Saturday, 9 - 3. The center is usually closed on
Sundays and holidays. There is a large parking lot. Dogs on leash are
permitted on trails; bicycles and horses are not permitted on trails. In
case of severe fire conditions or other emergency, the gate may be locked.
